As we enter our third year of managing COVID-19, we have seen the ways that crisis and recession have exacerbated economic unevenness in our community. As a South King County resident of 23 years, Claire has seen how affordability has shifted for our neighbors. Claire will push for compassionate solutions that support our most vulnerable neighbors. She will close tax loopholes for big corporations and wealthy special interests so that we can lower property taxes for middle class families and provide genuine relief.
In Olympia, Claire has invested in affordable housing in Federal Way. In the face of a housing crisis in our region, we need proven strategies and dedicated public servants. Claire will bring needed leadership to help protect the vulnerable–and our safety.
